Knowing the expense of creating real time cut-scenes I chose to shift the heavy exposition needed for the story into motion graphics. This not only reduced the cost but mitigated the inevitable story changes that would come from DreamWorks.
These are the final approved character designs.
I was very pleased at how they turned out.
These are some examples of the finished work.
These are the approved XBox 360 Achievement Icons drawn by Nick Miles. These took several iterations to get right and longer to find the best design that communicated each achievement. I think it's worth the time and effort as I see achievements as a very important part of the game.
